Sköld genom ett mantelsnitt delad av rött och av guld, vari en röd torshammare med huvudet uppåt.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 16, 1955.
The arms are canting, showing the hammer of the Germanic God Thor. The division of the shield refers to the -ås part of the name, åsen meaning ridge.
