ASKER

Province : Akershus

Arms (crest) of Asker

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 7, 1975.

The arms show three tree trunks, or askekaller in Norwegian, and are thus canting. The trees are a kind of willow, which were cut every year to provide food for the animals. The trees thus developed after many years a very typical shape, which was characteristic for the area.
