SKEDSMO

Province : Viken (until 2020 Akershus)

Arms of Skedsmo

Official blazon

På rød bunn tre sølv hestehoder i skrå rekke.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 4, 1974.

The arms show three horse heads with waving manes. The arms are canting from the old Norse word skeiðismór, a field used for horse racing, hence the waving manes of the horses.
