Heraldry of the World Civic heraldry of Germany - Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) |
AUCHSESHEIM
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Donau-Ries (until 1972 Donauwörth)
Incorporated into : 1971 Donauwörth
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms show three golden fleur-de-lys, which are taken from the early medieval Lords Von Auchsesheim. As the colours of the arms of the family were not known, it was decided to take the colours of the Staufen family, as well as the city of Donauwörth.
