Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 29, 1982.

The division bend symbolizes the Hornbach river. The three orchids are a symbol for the nature reserve along the river, which is characterized by the many orchids. The upper half shows the ruin of an Orangerie of the castle Monbijou, owned by the Dukes of the Pfalz-Zweibrücken and shown in the colours of their arms. The lower half shows a horseshoe as symbol for the horse breeding in the village.
