Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on October 26, 2016, but are much older.
The arms probably date back to 1358 when Proszowice received town rights. The arms show the head of St. John on a platter. St. John Baptist being the patron saint of the city. During the centuries the shape and colours of the composition have changed considerably, as can be seen from the examples below.
