Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1996.

The wavy bend symbolises the Wisłok river, that splits the municipality into two parts. The upper/left part is characterised by sandy soils, hence the yellow colour. The right/lower half is ore fertile, which is shown by the green colour. The ear of grain refers to the 8 village sin the municipality, three on one side and 5 on the other side of the river. The silver part refers to oat, the golden to wheat.
