Origin/meaning
The dragon is the attribute of St. Martha (the Tarasque, which she fought to safe the population of Tarascon). The stars are taken from the coat of arms of the De Séré de Lanauze family former lords of Sainte-Marthe.
The wheels symbolise the seven (former) water mills in the municipality.
The chief is taken from the arms of the Aquitaine region.
