Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 20, 2003.

The arms show slab of slate with an anthropomorphic engraving which comes from the dolmen Moreno 3, in the "Megalithic Necropolis of Fonelas". A protected Site of Cultural Interest. The piece, commonly called "Estela de Fonelas" is shown in the Archaeological and Ethnological Museum of Granada.
