Origin/meaning

The arms also appear in many other civic arms in the area, such as : Bessancourt, Deuil-la-Barre, Eaubonne, Écouen, Ézanville, Montsoult, Le Plessis-Bouchard, Saint-Leu-la-Forêt and Taverny, as well as in the arms of the Belgian municipality Herseaux.
