Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 15, 1985.
The arms are a combination of the old arms of Rattiszell (ram) and Haunkenzell.
The previous arms were granted on December 17, 1957.
The arms are those of the Ramsperger family, a medieval noble family that originated form the village. The arms can be seen on the grave of Hilprand Ramsperger from 1362 in the local churchyard.
