Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 23, 1978.

The reeds are partly canting, they are Schiemen in the local dialect. The gold and black are the coloours of the Counts of Stadion, who played a layor role in most of the villages in the municipality as owners of the Warthausen estate.

The crosier refers to the Salem Abbey which, together with some other monasteries, owned large parts of the land in the municipaity. The letter S to the Hospital (Spital) in Biberach, which also owend part of the municipality.
