English Distinctive Unit Insignia: A gold insignia consiting of a gold vertical lightning flash, point up, extending over and in front of three stylized green white-capped mountains, the larger center segment rising in back of two below, all in front of a gold sun with rays arched around the mountain peaks; overall upon a threefold gold scroll forming three arcs, one above the other to base, the inscription "Loyalty, Patiance, Integrity" in black letters.

Origin/meaning

Green and Yelloe are the colours used by the Military Police. The Lightning Falsh refers to the unit's swift apprehension and performance in emergency situations.The Sun-rays indicatec penetrative knowledgeallude to the Battalion's Crime Investigation capabilities and the command and control required for correctional duties. The Sun also alludes to Golden, Colorado where the Battalion is located. The Mountains allude to the State of Colorado. The vertical falsh, the combined three Mountains, the three-segmented Flash and the threefold scroll, and the triple snow-capped peaks connote the nummerical designation of the Battalion.
