German In Silber ein Bund von zwölf lanzettenförmigen grünen Halmen, umschlungen von einem beiderseits mit blütenartigen Zierelementen besetzten goldenen Reif.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 29, 1995.

The arms show a bush of 12 stalks, one for each of the original municipalities in the Amt (due mergers reduced to 5 in 2002). The arms symbolise the agricultural character of the area.
