WILDPOLDSRIED

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Oberallgäu

Wappen von Wildpoldsried/Arms (crest) of Wildpoldsried
Official blazon
German Schild gespalten; vorne geteilt von Rot und Blau, hinten in Silber zwei gekreuzte schwarze Pfeile.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 27, 1953.

The arms are based on images of the seal dating from the 16th century. The red and blue are derived from the arms of the Kempten Convent, to which the area belonged until the early 19th century. The two arrows are most likely derived from the arms of the Lords of Ettenried, who originated from the village.
