Origin/meaning

The chestnut tree is a common tre ein the village. It is placed on wavy bends, which symbolise the Guiers river, that originates in the municipality. The keys and bars are taken from the arms of families that for some time owned and ruled the village until the end of the 18th century. The black bars on gold are taken from the arms of the Corbel de Corbeau de Vaulse family and the keys from the De Clermont family.

The sword symbolises St. Alban, the local patron saint.
