Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on January 23, 2021.

The double golden is a canting element for the original name of the town.

The two towers are those of the local castle. The chevron is refers to the arms of Stenay, as the village historically belonged to Stenay.

The anchor is that of the Pont Gaudron monument erected in memory of the sacrifice of the many soldiers of the regiments of the 1st colonial infantry division, who defended the village in 1940. It is also the attribute of Saint Nicholas, the local patron saint.
