Canton : Bern
German | In Silber drei blaue Spitzen im Schildfuss, überhöht von einer goldbesamten roten Rose mit grünen Kelchzipfeln. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The upper part is taken as a symbol for Hans Roth. Roth originated from the village and saved the city of Solothurn in 1382 from its enemies. The lower part shows the mountains in the area. The arms are first used in the early 20th century and officially adopted in 1945.
Literature: Wappenbuch des Kantons Bern, 1981.
