The arms were officially granted on September 20, 1895.
The arms are canting, showing a water-mill wheel (mill=Mühle) and a wavy blue bar (Bach=river, brook). The arms were designed in 1895, as older seals of the village only showed the letters MB. The colours are those of the former Bretten district of the Pfalz, to which the village belonged until 1803.
