DORF (SCHÄNIS)

Canton : Sankt Gallen
Incorporated into: 1790s Schänis

Wappen von Dorf (Schänis)/Coat of arms (crest) of Dorf (Schänis)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The municipality never had arms. The above village arms were adopted in the late 1990s.

The three houses are canting for the word Dorf (village) and the annulet symbolises the local common grounds. The green refers to the agricultural character of the village.
