Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a white vertical oval edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border a white tiger head affronté detailed blue between the inscriptions “DEMOPOLIS” arcing above and “TIGERS” arcing below in blue letters. The overall dimensions are 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height by 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height blazoned: Per chevron wavy Or and Azure a fleur-de-lis Argent, on a canton of the second a book open White. Attached below the shield a Blue scroll inscribed “DEMOPOLIS” in Gold letters.

Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Blue and white are the school colors. The tiger is the school mascot and represents the cadet’s fierce loyalty and cunning fighting spirit.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: Blue and white are the school colors. The shield is a symbol of protection and denotes the cadets’ involvement in school, community, and country. The fleur-de-lis on a wavy chevron symbolizes the location of the school and reflects the early French influence. The open book represents knowledge through education.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and Shoulder Loop Inisgnia was both approved on 23 May 1996.
