2ND CIVIL ENGINEER SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE
History: Designated as Squadron C, 2 Airdrome Group, on 15 October 1947. Organized on 5 November 1947. Discontinued on 12 July 1948. Consolidated (3 October 1984) with the 2 Installations Squadron, Bombardment, Medium, which was constituted on 28 May 1948. Activated on 12 July 1948. Redesignated as 2 Installations Squadron on 16 March 1950. Inactivated on 16 June 1952. Activated on 1 August 1959. Redesignated as: 2 Civil Engineering Squadron on 1 July 1960; 2 Civil Engineer Squadron on 1 March 1994.
