History: Constituted as 31 Aviation Depot Squadron on 5 December 1956. Activated on 1 January 1957. Redesignated 31 Munitions Maintenance Squadron on 1 July 1960. Discontinued, and inactivated, on 15 June 1964. Activated on 1 March 1971. Inactivated on 1 May 1978. Redesignated 31 Munitions Support Squadron, and activated on 1 August 1996. Redesignated: 831 Munitions Support Squadron on 5 June 2000; 704 Munitions Support Squadron on 25 May 2004.
