Origin/meaning

The arms were taken from those of the Schottenkloster, a Benedictine monastery at Vienna. The charge of the arms is blazoned as St. Salvador of Our Lady the Queen of Heaven.

The region is now part of the 8th municipal district, Josefstadt.
