Shield: Gules, two palets Argent (Silver Gray) surmounted by an isosceles triangle counterchanged.
Crest: That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Missouri Army National Guard: From a wreath Argent and Gules, a grizzly bear rampant Proper.
Motto: Velox suscipio (Fast support with purpose and direction).

Distinctive Unit Insignia, Decription: A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in heigt overall blazoned as follows: Gules, two palets Argent (Silver Gray) surmounted by an isosceles triangle counterchanged. Attached below the device, a Blue scroll inscribed "VELOX SUSCIPIO" in Silver.

Origin/meaning

The Triangle symbolises strangth, stability and the mission of the Unit. The two pales denote military strength, combined with the triangle illustrates "311" the Unit's numerical designation.
