Origin/meaning
The arms are granted on November 7, 1968.
The arms show the arms ofthe Lords of Lajen and Teiss, known since 1147, with a bird as a symbol for the famous medieval singer Walther von der Vogelweide, who was probably born in the village (Vogel=bird).
