Blue for the Seas that surrounds the Island of Tenerife, on which the Unit is Located. The Cross of Santiago represents the Island itself. The Gateway symbolises the Barracks the Unit Serves. The Coat of Arms was approved 7 August 2006.
The First Quarter symbolises the Heroic Action of Captains D. Luis Daoíz y D. Pedro Velarde for which the Unit has its Name. The Second Quarter symbolises the location of the Unit. The Point with the Helmet symbolises the Support given by the Unit. The Coat of Arms was approved 15 February 2011.
