Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 29, 1970. The Skies alludes to the oldest known Arms of Lappland. They also can be taken som symbolises the Modern day Ski Tourism.
The Wolf Spear symbolises Sami Culture and Reindeer Breeding. The Chevron partition symbolises a Snowcovered Mountain.
