Un scut în care, pe câmp albastru, un braț drept armat din argint ține transversal spre colțul stâng superior al scutului o spadă din argint, cu mânerul și garda din aur, străpungând un cap natural de urs, iar în colțul din dreapta sus se află o balanță din aur cu talgerele în echilibru. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală din argint cu șapte turnuri crenelate.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 9, 2000.
The arm armed with a silver sword piercing a natural bear's head symbolizes the fight for defense, heroism, bravery and sacrifice for a noble cause;
The gold scales represent the role that some institutions from this locality had in the Transylvanian judicial system;
The silver mural crown with seven crenellated towers symbolizes the rank of municipal residence of the city.
