Official blazon

  • (1818) Van lazuur, beladen met een brandend hart van zilver, in welks midden een koornschoof, en en chef verzeld van een kroon waarop een hart, alles van goud.
  • (1846) D'azur, à un coeur d'argent enflammé d'or, chargé d'une gerbe de sinople, surmonté d'une couronne d'or sur laquelle repose un coeur de Jesus, de même.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 4, 1818 and were confirmed on December 20, 1846.

The arms show a heart of Jesus, a symbol of the devotion of the population, but without historical significance.
