Province : Vlaams-Brabant
Incorporated into : 1977 Zemst

Wapen van Eppegem

Official blazon

In rood een zilvern dwarsbalk.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 27, 1907.

The arms are derived from the arms of the Counts and city of Vianden. The village of Eppegem was a possession of the Counts of Vianden from 1225-1351. The arms already appear on a 13th century seal of the local council.
