MALBUISSON
Département : Doubs
Official blason
Origin/meaning
The village is situated near a lake, which is symbolised by the first and fourth quarters. The roundel shows the lake in winter (silver) and summer (blue), with the surrounding area in snow and summer (green forests).
The crosier refers to the nearby Mont Sainte Marie Abbey. The fires refer to the fire of 1639, when the village was set on fire by Bernard von Sachsen-Weimar during the 10-years war, which made the Franche-Comté a part of France.
