Origin/meaning
The Colours are those of the Military Police, The Galley and Fleur-de-lis are from the arms of the City of Paris, and indicates the service in World War II in the Area of the French Capital.
The Fleur-de-lis also symbolises service in Northern France. The Galley also symbolises the Battalion's early assignment escorting prisoners from North Africa.
