The two Corinthian capitals are a symbol for the Roman occupation and long history of the area. The base shows a bowl for grapes, handed to the village during a visit of King Carlos as a gift to the local vintners. Ever since the bowl is kept within the families in the village. | |||

Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 20, 1995.
The two Corinthian capitals are a symbol for the Roman occupation and long history of the area. The base shows a bowl for grapes, handed to the village during a visit of King Carlos as a gift to the local vintners. Ever since the bowl is kept within the families in the village.
The green field symbolises the agricultural character of the municipality.
