The Seven Dogs Heads alludes to the Seven Canary Islands and the Brigade "Canarias" XVI which the Battalion supports. The Saltire is form the Flag of the City of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The Fortification is the Fort of San Juan o Castillo (constructed 1640-1643). The Seven Dogs Heads alludes to the Seven Canary Islands and the Brigade "Canarias" XVI which the Battalion supports. The Coat of Arms was approved on 13 October 1995.
