Escudo de prata, monte de três cômoros de verde, movente dos flancos e de um pé ondado de prata e verde; brocante, um bastão de ouro, com ferros de vermelho, postos em pala e tendo suspensa uma cabaça do mesmo, entre duas coroas do Espírito Santo, de vermelho, em chefe. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : “ ALTARES – ANGRA DO HEROÍSMO “.
