Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 10, 1929.

The village was the seat of the court of the Bregenzer Wald and this is symbolised by the linden tree (as a symbol for a court) and the sword and stick as symbol for the judges. The colours are those of Vorarlberg.

Literature : Burmeister, 1975
