PUŁTUSK
Province: Mazowsze
County: Pułtusk
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The cross and staff represent the Bishops of Plock, which once owned much of Pultusk and held residence there in the castle. The blue background symbolises the Narew river, which surrounds Pultusk.
The earliest record of the arms dates from 1565, from a seal on a document which stated that Pultusk will have the first public theatre in Poland.
