Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 27, 2000.
The arms are canting: the "ala" (Catalan for "wing") reminds the name of the village. They show too a Tau cross (or cross of Santa Tecla), because Alió belonged to the archbishops of Tarragona (St. Tecla being the patron saint of Tarragona, the nearby regional centre).
