Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 2, 1991.
The pine tree symbolises the Thüringer Wald forest in which the municipality is situated. The tree was already used on the seal of the village around 1900.
The lion and the comb and fork in the base are derived from the arms of the Princes of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt.
