MULDENTALKREIS (GRM)

State : Sachsen
Additions : 1994 Grimma, Wurzen
Incorporated into : 2008 Leipzig

Wappen von Muldentalkreis/Arms (crest) of Muldentalkreis
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 10, 1995.

The three flowers symbolise the two former disctircs, as well as the municipalities from other districts that were combined to the new district. The silver chevron symbolises the Freiberger and Zwickauer Mulde streams, that form the Mulde river. The green colour symbolises the forests in the district.
