The arms were granted on December 5, 1922.

The golden billets and the bar are derived from the arms of the Hohenecken district (see Hohenecken and Siegelbach). To distinguish the arms from those of the other villages, a wheel, symbolizing the Lampertsmühle water mill, was added.
