Département : Loiret
Incorporated into : 2016 Douchy-Montcorbon

Blason de Montcorbon/Coat of arms (crest) of {{PAGENAME
Official blazon
French De gueules au chevron d'argent accompagné en chef de deux merlettes d'or et en pointe d'un rencontre de vache d'argent accorné d'or.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on March 5, 2001.

The chevron is a canting element, referring to the mont- (hill-) part of the name.

The merles are taken from the arms of the Du Deffand family, lords of the village in the 17th and 18th century.

The bull's head is taken as a symbol for the local patron saint, St. Saturnin.
