HALLWANG

State : Salzburg
District : Salzburg-Umgebung

Wappen von Hallwang

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 16, 1959.

The green and silver refer to the ethymology of the name, which means 'sunny meadow'. The two branches are taken from the arms of the Prätzl family who owned the Sollheim Estate in the municipality from 1455-1538.
