Official blason
I blått fält en bergsmansslägga och ett bergjärn i kors och däröver en tilltagande måne, allt av silver.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1948.
The arms show in the chief a crescent, symbol for silver and the silver mining in the municipality, the tools also refer to the mining activities. The crescent was also part of the old seal of the town.
The arms as shown by Liljeblad, 1878 |
The arms in the Kaffe Hag album +/- 1935 |
