Origin/meaning
The fountain (fontaine) is canting for Verfontaine, the wolf's head (loup) for Broye-les-Loups. The border stone refers to the villages of Petit-Colonge and Grand-Colonge and shows a crosier for the Abbey of Colognes, which dominated the villages until 1622.
