FREEPSUM
State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Aurich (until 1976 Norden)
Incorporated into : 1972 Krummhörn
Origin/meaning:
The arms show a windmill, used to pump water out of the polders. There used to be several of these mills in the municipality. The colours are taken from the arms of the Allena family, who were very influential in medieval times.
