Coupé au 1er de gueules à la lampe de mineur d’argent, allumée du champ, à senestre, au 2e parti au I de gueules à trois clous d’or, au II d’argent à la roche de pourpre terrassée de sinople; à la fasce ondée d’azur brochant sur le coupé; au franc quartier d’argent au lion de sable, armé et lampassé de gueules.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on February 22, 1972.

The arms are a combination of elements from the former arms of Freyming and Merlebach.
