Shield: Per fess dancetty of two enhanced Celeste and Azure, a four-bastioned fort, axis crosswise, Gules (Crimson) fimbriated Or, overall in saltire a hammer of the like and lightning bolt Argent.
Crest: That for the regimetns and separate battalions of the Maryland Army National Guard: On awreath of the colors, Or and Celeste, a cross bottony per cross quarterly Gules and Argent.

Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall, consisting of a light blue field behind two blue mountain peaks all enclosed by a crimson circular belt folded at top, buckled at bottom, inscribed "MAINTAIN" at left, "FOR" at top, and "FREEDOM" at right in gold letters; overall a crimson four-bastioned fort at one point up superimposed by a gold hammer and white lightning bold crossed diagonally.
