LORDSHIP RAPPOLTSTEIN
Official blazon
- (de)
Origin/meaning
The Lordship Rappoltstein was a small territory in the now French Alsace region. It exited until the annexation by France in 1680. Capital was the city Ribeauvillé (Rappoltsweiler). The title (and arms) were later used by the German Princes of Waldeck-Pyrmont.
The arms show three small shields from the early medieval Lords of Rappoltstein.
